Benefit Concert for the
League of Human Rights

Helping victims of domestic violence

Bluebird sponsored a benefit concert to help the Counseling Center for Women in Crisis run by the League of Human Rights. The Counseling Center needed funds to continue its important work of helping women who suffer from domestic abuse.

The concert was held on Thursday, May 6, 2004, 19:00 in N.F. Čapek Hall, Anenská 5, Staré Město, Prague, and featured Kateryna Kolcová-Tlustá, voice, and Biljana Pelić, violin, performing Bach, Ysaye, and traditional Jewish ceremonial songs. The concert was sponsored by the League of Human Rights, the Unitarian Church, the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee and Bluebird.

Thanks to attendees and donors, the concert raised 36,000 CZK for the Counseling Center for Women in Crisis.
